Really?  WhatsApp made a whooping 1.3 Billion in 2025 by using the technique “engagement farming”. It invades your phone too. Remember, you agreed to sharing your contacts. So how secretive does a conversation need to be. Arguably WhatsApp takes no effort and it does indeed keep you engaged. And yes, all users unwittingly allowed (peer pressure)  WhatsApp to go snooping around our phones in order to get the service. We will look at other Meta (owned by WhatsApp)  tactics in another post.
